Mobile payment platform Monitise and IT company IBM have joined to help Visa Europe host mobile commerce services via the cloud
As a result of the deal, Visa Europe’s member banks should be able to use a broader range of mobile services on a variety of devices, making it easier for customers to track and manage their spending from tablets or smartphones.

Monitise solutions Bank Anywhere, Pay Anyone and Buy Anything comprise the basis of Visa Europe’s new mobile offerings. IBM will support the collaboration with software, technology services and consulting. Visa will also be able to use software from IBM’s Smarter Commerce series.
