MTN Mobile Money and MFS Africa have announced the deployment of
MTNMMO.COM, a mobile remittances services for Rwanda and Ivory
Coast.
The new service allows customer to perceive instantly
international remittances into their mobile phones.

The MTNMMO.COM is intended to work alongside the existing local
mobile money transfer systems, already popular among the unbanked
population in African countries.
Christian de Faria, MTN Group CCO said:
“We expect that just as MTN Mobile Money has changed the way
people receive local remittances in each of the countries we
operate, MTNMMO.COM will change the way people receive
international remittances. With MFS Africa as a partner, we look
forward to expanding MTNMMO.COM to other markets,” Mr. de Faria
adds.
The companies expect to roll out the service in other MTN Mobile
Money markets, including Benin, Cameroon and Ghana later this
year.
