Trustly, a Sweden-based business-to-business payment solutions company, has partnered with Qliro, a Nordic e-commerce-focused payments provider.
The agreement makes Trustly a permanent online banking option for Qliro’s express checkout service, Qliro One. The agreement has been formalised following the completion of a trial period initiated in the first part of 2017.
The integration will allow participating retailers to let their clients pay directly from their bank accounts.
Qliro CEO Patrik Illerstig said: “We want to empower online consumers and let them make payments in their preferred way. Therefore, it’s massively important for both consumers and merchants that we offer a wide range of payment options, including great direct banking options. Consequently, we are very pleased to initiate a partnership with Trustly, which has superb bank coverage not only in the Nordics but also across Europe.”
Trustly CEO Oscar Berglund said: “We are delighted to partner with Qliro and for Trustly to become the online banking payment method in the checkout of some of the Nordic region’s most well-known e-com franchises.
“Today many shoppers abandon their carts because their preferred payment method is not available. Trustly allows millions of European customers to pay in their preferred way and as such drives conversion for merchants.”
