Mobile wallet provider Cellum has joined forces with cross-border mobile payments network TransferTo to offer international remittance services to their partners.
TransferTo connects financial institutions and digital financial service providers to and from emerging markets. The company’s network includes money transfer operators, mobile money operators, mobile wallets providers, banks, financial institutions, NGOs as well as global e-commerce merchants.
The partnership with TransferTo will enable Cellum to utilise this network and offer international money transfers and mobile airtime top-up services to its business partners.
Through the collaboration, the two parties intend to promote emerging digital payment technologies in Central Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
Commenting on the alliance, TransferTo CEO Peter De Caluwe said: “We are happy to collaborate with Cellum and open the doors for their partners to reach our global network, and look forward to the opportunity of expansion by adding further digital wallet providers.”
Cellum CEO Janos Koka added: “Our strategic partnership with TransferTo strengthens our position as the one-stop mobile wallet provider of choice in Southeast Asia and beyond.”
