WISeKey International, a Swiss cybersecurity and IoT solutions firm, has launched an IoT cryptocurrency smart payment solution that will enable connected objects to pay for each other using its own cryptocurrency platform WISeCoin.
The connected objects incorporate VaultIC184, WISeKey’s Secure Element featuring tamper resistant silicon chip, a Sigfox specific application programming interface, and a provisioning service.

The solution has already been trialled on connected cars, enabling them to pay for electricity, gas and parking.
The firm launched WISeCoin in October 2017. The blockchain platform allows countries to launch their own cryptocurrencies.
WISeCoin is supplemented with secured solutions including biometrics-driven hardware wallets, integrated exchange platforms, microchips blockchain enabled semiconductors, and NFC-based contactless payment solutions.
