Moneycorp Group has secured e-money licence in Ireland to support its expansion across the European Union (EU).
The Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) awarded the group e-money and MiFID licences for a newly established Irish company Moneycorp Technologies (MTL).
Headquartered in London, Moneycorp provides foreign exchange and global payment services.
The company opened its office in the Irish capital of Dublin in 2013 to serve corporate clients.
Moneycorp applied for an e-money licence in Ireland to maintain its international operations after Brexit.
Moneycorp Europe CEO Bryan McSharry said: “Since launching in Dublin in 2013, we have built a strong corporate and individual customer base of Irish clients – based on our ability to provide best in class foreign exchange services across our market-leading technology platform.
