A total of 39 deals worth $2.55bn were announced for the region during Q3 2020, against the last four-quarter average of 35 deals.
Of all the deal types, venture financing saw most activity in Q3 2020 with 23, representing a 59% share for the region.
In second place was M&A with 12 deals, followed by private equity deals with four transactions, respectively capturing a 30.8% and 10.3% share of the overall deal activity for the quarter.

2) The $350m private equity deal with Multi Service Technology Solutions by Corsair Capital
3) Bond Gifting, Canapi, DST Global, Fin Venture Capital, Goodwater Capital, Relay Ventures and TTV Capital’s $215m venture financing of Greenlight Financial Technology
4) The $100m acquisition of Mobeewave by Apple
5) Eldridge Industries, Generation Partners, Ziegler LinkAge Fund II and L.P’s venture financing of PayActiv for $100m.
