NeoPollard Interactive (NPi), a provider of iLottery programmes in North America, has tapped Paysafe to power a regulated online gambling website in Alberta.
Under the agreement, NPi will use Paysafe’s proprietary payment gateway to power PlayAlberta.ca, which was introduced by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) last year and is said to be Alberta’s only regulated website of its kind.
As a result of the tie-up, Paysafe will processes payments for most of the regulated lotteries in Canada.
Among these are the Atlantic Lottery, BCLC, Loto-Québec, and Ontario Lottery and Gamin. Utilising Paysafe’s payment gateway, these lotteries will help players make secure deposits and withdrawals of winnings, noted the payments firm.
The latest alliance builds on the existing relationship between the two parties, which dates back to 2014 through the duo’s partnership in the US market to offer the Michigan Lottery a comprehensive 360-degree iLottery and payments solution.
In July last year, Paysafe expanded its alliance with NPi into the North Carolina lottery market.
NPi general manager Liz Siver said: “Our ongoing partnership with Paysafe plays an integral role in ensuring that we offer best-in-class online gambling experiences for players in Alberta.
“As this is NPi’s first Canadian venture, Paysafe’s expert teams were essential to successfully meeting requirements of operating in Canada.”
PlayAlberta.ca, incorporating virtual slots and table games as well as lottery games, is NPi’s first client solution for a North American Lottery providing multi-vertical content. These offerings are coupled with NPi’s existing iLottery content featuring eInstant and instant lotto games.
As the contracted operator for the gambling website, NPi implemented various managed services such as its Customer Engagement Marketing service as well as also offers player experience services including a Customer Support Center.
Paysafe director of Business Development for iGaming Gregory Kirstein said: “Collaborating to support AGLC and PlayAlberta.ca is especially exciting as it creates an opening to expand our existing Canadian customer base.”
