France-based company Societe Generale’s IT hiring increased 10.0% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 7.82% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 21.33% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 4.1% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Societe Generale IT hiring in July 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Societe Generale, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 67.61% in July 2021, and a 0.97% growth over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 18.7% in July 2021, and registered a 4.44% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.61% in July 2021, a 23.91% drop from June 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Societe Generale

North America emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in July 2021 with an 83.48% share, which marked a 1.79% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 14.78%, registering a 9.33% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 1.74% share and a 33.33% growth over June 2021.

Mexico commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 78.26% share in July 2021, a 5.88% growth over June 2021. France featured next with a 6.09% share, down 30% over the previous month. Czech Republic recorded a 4.35% share, an increase of 53.85% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Societe Generale IT hiring activity in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.22%, up by 3.36% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 16.09% share, a decline of 10.84% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 3.48% share, down 54.29% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.22%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
