The value marked an increase of 1133.4% over the previous month of $3.14bn and a rise of 1288.2% when compared with the last 12-month average of $2.79bn.
In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a drop of 1.47% with 67 deals in August 2021 when compared to the last 12-month average of 68 deals.
In value terms, Asia-Pacific led the activity with deals worth $34.74bn in August 2021.
