Ingenico, a global payment provider, has announced the opening of a new branch office based in Casablanca, Morocco.

The new office is to focus on the African market as part of the company’s geographic expansion strategy.

By expanding its footprint in Africa, Ingenico aims to target its services to customers including banks, micro finance institutions, retailers and Governments.

The African branch office will be headed by managing director Rachid Oulad Akdim.

Akdim commented: "If Ingenico has been delivering innovative payment solutions to African customers for several years already, this new office will allow us to more effectively meet their needs.

"Our Moroccan office, that will play the role of gateway to the rest of Africa, will enable us to better serve them and refine our knowledge of the numerous local markets," he added.
