Bank Muscat in association with Visa has introduced a new feature to improve debit card security for online transactions.
The new feature, known as Verified by Visa, provides an extra layer of security for online transactions by reducing the possibility of fraud for the transactions.
To avail the service, customers are required to visit the bank’s website and create their password.
Registration for the new service is mandatory by 30 September 2014 and online transactions on unregistered cards at participating merchants after this date will be declined.
