Global payments technology provider AnywhereCommerce is set to release its latest version of mobile payment acceptance device, Nomad 2.0, in Paris.

The enhanced device, which is EMVCo L1, L2 certified, PCI 3.1 approved and Visa Ready, will work with mobile phones and tablets to enable mobile point of sale (mPOS) acceptance of Chip-and-PIN and magnetic stripe card payments.

The company said that Nomad 2.0 is designed to flexibly support multiple card-present payment method options, including debit, credit, gift and loyalty card transactions through both magnetic stripe technology and EMV Chip-and-PIN functionalities.

Compatible with Android, iOS, Windows 8.1, and Windows Phone 8 operating systems, the device will employ patented encryption technology and will provide the option to connect to a mobile device through secure Bluetooth or a USB port.

AnywhereCommerce founder and CEO, Mitchell Cobrin, said: "This newest version of Nomad continues our company’s commitment to deliver the highest degree of quality, reliability, and security that our global customers demand. We believe the innovations and vision encapsulated in this product will prove very appealing to mPOS solution providers and users alike."
