Thailand-based KBank in association with JCB International (JCBI), the international operations subsidiary of JCB, has launched its new credit card aimed at travellers.
The new offering, ‘KBank JCB Credit Card’, will provide cardholders a slew of privileges with first-year targets of 100,000 cards and spending of THB2bn ($58.8m).
Suitable for Japan enthusiasts and travellers, the new credit card is available in three variants such as Platinum, Gold and Classic cards.
Cardholders, especially career people, who prefer Japanese food or shopping for Japanese brands, will be offered additional discounts and special offers from airlines, hotels and leading stores, under three categories – J-Highlighto, J-Discounto and J-Benefito.
Under J-Highlighto category, the card owners can enjoy numerous privileges, such as 2x KBank Reward Points for any spending in Japan without minimum amount, zero-percent instalment payment up to 10 months for purchase of air tickets and package tours to Japan with Majestic Travel, among others.
Under J-Discounto, the cardholders in Thailand can avail numerous discounts when spending on dining, shopping and travel categories. They can get up to a 20% discount on foods at participating Japanese restaurants or with leading Japanese brands, specially-priced packaged foods, mobile Wi-Fi rental at a special rate, among other benefits.
