i2c, a US-based provider of payments and integrated commerce solutions, has launched new multi-function loyalty and payments card for frequent flyers.
According to i2c’s report 23.8 trillion airline customers’ miles go unredeemed around the globe, and 80% of U.S. air mile rewards members are inactive.
The newly launched prepaid card will enable travellers to load money and earn loyalty points which can be used for future travel purchases, without the need of a credit card.
Furthermore, it also offers tools for airlines to develop loyalty programmes that encourage flyers to use their services.
i2c’s new frequent flyer payment card features such as multiple currencies and unlimited purses; security of card controls and real-time alerts; integrated mobile and web administration; valuable real-time offers and companion cards.
“Most airline loyalty cards lay dormant in a drawer or unused in a wallet, and less than 5 percent of airline customers are enrolled in co-branded credit card programs.
