India-based RBL Bank has signed a multi-year agreement to leverage First Data’s end-to-end card processing services software, VisionPLUS, for the bank’s credit card customers across the country.
The global payment processing software is designed to provide service-oriented core architecture capabilities and open APIs to ensure fast application development and integration.

Through the new partnership, RBL Bank aims to offer its customers a secure and scalable platform for transactions.
RBL Bank head of retail, inclusion and rural business Harjeet Toor said: “Over the last few years, we have rapidly scaled up our cards business. As we target new customer segments and geographies, we are happy to partner with First Data for our credit card platform.
“We are now able to introduce innovative features for our clients and to scale our transactions on a secure and scalable platform. This gives us the impetus to increase our competitive edge in the market.”
Last month, First Data entered into a partnership to provide similar services to State Bank of India (SBI). In addition to providing card management solutions powered by VisionPLUS software, First Data also agreed to open a new data centre facility in the country.
