Conferma, a fintech firm focussed on corporate travel, has partnered with American Express Canada to utilise American Express vPayment solution for travel bookings, reservations and paying suppliers.
vPayment is a virtual solution that generates single-use account numbers to ensure secure and efficient transactions while purchasing goods and services.
In addition, the solution is said to offer granular control over expenses, minimise paperwork and errors, and enable online spend analysis.
Conferma CEO Simon Barker said: “As a company, we continue to push the boundaries within the virtual payment sector to bring about greater efficiencies for businesses.
“We know that Canadian companies spend a significant amount of time and money managing expenses, however thanks to American Express vPayment, businesses have the chance to start identifying efficiencies and cutting corporate travel costs without scaling back.”
Under the collaboration, Conferma deployed the vPayment solution on its booking platform that delivers travel data to customers by integrating information from travel providers, management companies and global distribution systems.
The specific-use account number generated by the solution can be used to make a single travel reservation within the platform and matches reservations details to the supplier payment.
American Express Canada vice-president and general manager of global commercial payments Paul Roman said: “At American Express, we want to be a strategic partner for Canadian companies, and one way we are doing that is with American Express vPayment, which is helping to streamline corporate travel efforts, while minimising costs and opening up new opportunities for growth.”
