InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has partnered with Chase Card Services to introduce two new credit cards, Premier and Traveler, designed to offer various types of rewards to cardholders.
The IHG Rewards Club Premier Card provides 10x points on purchases at IHG hotels, 2x for gas, groceries and restaurants, and 1x points on other transactions.
Additional benefits with the card include zero foreign transaction fees, Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check credit and Platinum Elite IHG Rewards Club membership.
Meanwhile, the IHG Rewards Club Traveler Card comes with 5x points on IHG hotel purchases and the other rewards remain similar to the Premier Card. This card also has no fees on foreign transactions.
IHG vice-president of global loyalty programs David Canty said: “We’re continually evolving our IHG Rewards Club programme to meet the changing needs of our members and, with these cards, members will not only earn more points but also get access to new benefits that make their travel experience easier.
“We’re pleased to give our members even more ways to earn and enjoy rewards all over the world.”
Chase co-brand cards president Leslie Gillin said: “Along with our partners at IHG, we listened to our joint customers and are providing them with richer rewards, including the opportunity to earn double IHG Rewards Club points, Platinum Elite Member status and an annual anniversary free night, which can be redeemed at more than 95% of IHG properties worldwide.”
