Bangladesh-based Prime Bank has collaborated with Japan Credit Bureau (JCB) to launch a platinum credit card.
The JCB Platinum Credit Card will have no annual fee during the first year. Customers can continue to access the service free after the first year. However, this will only be available if they make a minimum of 20 transactions. Otherwise, the fee will be BDT5000 ($60).
This platinum credit card comes with a supplementary card for the immediate family members of the cardholder like spouse, parents and children.
The card will also give users free access to VIP lounges in airport globally.
Prime Bank managing director and CEO Rahel Ahmed was quoted by Dhaka Tribune as saying: “We have taken many initiatives to create a cashless society in our country. We launched this card as a part of these initiatives.
“JCB Co Ltd was established in 1961 as a pioneering credit card payment system for the people of Japan. From the very start, it was focused on providing new opportunities built on the emerging needs and aspirations of its customers.
