Kuwait’s Burgan Bank, in collaboration with passenger carrier Qatar Airways, has introduced a co-branded prepaid card to provide shopping and travel benefits to users.
Based on the Mastercard platform, the new card available to customers and non-customers provide special discounts as well as Qmiles on all purchases.
For every KWD 1 ($3.29) spent locally, the cardholders can earn 3 Qmiles while every KWD1 (16.44) spent overseas will award them 5 Qmiles.
The reward points earned can be redeemed in lieu of services including complimentary flights, upgrades and excess baggage on Qatar Airways along with the partner airlines in oneworld alliance.
Burgan Bank chief retail banking officer Nasser Al Qaisi said: “We are pleased to announce the release of a new variant of Qatar Airways cards, we are a bank driven by people whose convenience and comfort lies at the heart of all our offerings.
“With fast growing lifestyle preferences witnessed, it is essential to stay up-to-date, through the aid of beneficial partnerships with entities that share the same values.”
