Lithuanian postal service provider Lietuvos pastas has extended its relationship with payment software developer ASHBURN International by two years.
The agreement enables ASHBURN to support the operation of Lietuvos paštas payment terminals linked to TransLink.iQ.
The TransLink.iQ system from ASHBURN facilitates POS networks monitoring, as well as transaction processing.
In 2017, Lithuanian post offices located in the country’s largest cities incorporated integrated terminals for enabling multi-bank payments. These enabled payment card transactions.
In a statement, ASHBURN said: “Because of another completed project, Lietuvos paštas couriers were provided with Ingenico mobile EFTPOS terminals, which made it possible to pay for goods ordered on the Internet with a payment card.
“This method of payment is much more convenient because the client does not need to look for an ATM to withdraw cash or make an electronic transfer of funds.
