American supercenter chain Meijer has partnered with Citi Retail Services to offer private label and co-brand credit card services.
The duo signed a long-term agreement, with Citi serving as the exclusive issuer of the credit card from 24th of next month.
Meijer cardholders can make applications for the card from 1 March 2020.
Meijer president and CEO Rick Keyes said: “We believe this new relationship with Citi Retail Services will extend benefits to our customers while also providing them yet another way to shop our stores.”
Those using the card will get a $10 discount on their first Meijer purchase.
The users will also be entitled to a $10 reward for every $750 spent and 10 cents savings a gallon at Meijer gas stations on a daily basis.

Meijer is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The retailer runs over 245 supercentres across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
Last year, Citi collaborated with e-commerce giant Lazada to launch a co-branded credit card in Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
The bank also teamed up with Singaporean ride-hailing company Grab in 2019 to introduce co-branded credit cards.
