Digital money software provider Intelligent Environments has provided retail finance and loyalty specialist Ikano with a system that gives customers of partners New Look and IKEA a full summary of their store card accounts.

Ikano’s updated digital payments and marketing platform will also make it possible to send specially tailored offers and promotions to individuals, based on marketing data.

David Webber, Intelligent Environments’ managing director said: "As we hear an increasing number of stories about high street retailer closures, a failure to recognise the importance of digital customer service and purchasing channels is no longer an option. Brands must seek to leverage customer relationships effectively online to protect customer retention and revenues."

The new service will be available to the 18,000 store card holders who have signed up since mid-November 2012.
