The wait is finally over: The first version of
Google wallet has gone live in the US.
Google wallet app enables consumers to tap and
pay using their phone and near field communication (NFR).
The app is being released to all Sprint Nexus
S4G phones through an over-the-air update.
Consumers with Citi MasterCard credit cards
and Google Prepaid Card will be able to use their Nexus S4G to pay
for items.
The launch comes just after
Visa granted Google a license to use its NFC-based payment
technology payWave.
