LatAm e-commerce worth $21.8bn last year
E-commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean grew 39 percent last year to $21.8 billion, a study commissioned by Visa predicts. The study, conducted by Latin American business magazine AmericaEconomia Intelligence,estimates e-commerce in the region will increase58 percent by the end of 2011, reaching $34.5bn. Key drivers of this growth include: changes in consumer behaviours, perception and demand; increased computer and broadband penetration; and improvements in online security.
