Financial analyst firm Juniper Research has revealed that
‘robust’ m-banking platforms will ‘propel’ the mobile commerce
market and boost customer satisfaction.
Howard Wilcox, a senior analyst at Juniper
Research, said this as m-commerce services provider Sybase 365
unveiled the 3.0 version of its Sybase mBanking 365 platform,
designed to increase customer satisfaction.
“Research in our recent reports revealed banks
across the world are exploiting the mobile channel not only to
deliver more sophisticated features, options and flexibility that
customers demand but also to improve customer service,” said
Wilcox.
“Robust platforms, such as Sybase mBanking
365, provide the level of customer experience that constitutes a
competitive advantage, which in turn will propel the mobile
commerce market.”
The Sybase 365 3.0 m-banking platform includes
device detection and rendering logic to present optimised mobile
web pages for simple screen devices, iPhone, Blackberry and Android
handsets. There is also an exclusive iPhone app for Corporate
Banking specific Treasury Management.
According to Sybase, banks will have more
control over sending alerts and what services are available to
customers based on user, service package, mobile channel used and
mobile operator.
