Unlimit has announced that it has partnered with Convera to empower its GlobalPay for Students platform and simplify tuition payments for students in emerging markets.
The partnership will begin in Brazil, with Convera leveraging Unlimit’s alternative payment method (APM) portfolio to enable the seamless payment of cross-border tuition fees via the GlobalPay for Students platform using PIX without any additional charges.
PIX is one of Brazil’s most popular payment methods, with a user base of over 150 million customers
In 2023, nearly two-thirds of the country’s population used PIX for online payments. By 2026 it is predicted to represent 40% of the online payments made in Brazil. With close to 90,000 Brazilian students studying abroad, the ability to pay via PIX will greatly simplify the lives of thousands of students.
