Broadridge Financial Solutions has launched its instant payments service, designed to facilitate real-time money transfers with resilience and scalability.

This service operates continuously and can process transactions in under ten seconds.

The new service by Broadridge leverages the Swift Alliance Gateway Instant (AGI) for infrastructure support, specifically tailored for instant payments messaging.

It connects seamlessly with SwiftNet Instant, guaranteeing 24/7 availability.

Broadridge Swift services business head and Germany country head Heidi Dittmar said: “This innovative technology stack enables businesses and individuals to benefit from instant payments across a variety of use cases, from payroll to refunds, enhancing both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.”

In line with recent EU mandates, Broadridge’s service supports the euro instant credit transfer regulations, which are expected to boost instant payment adoption across Europe.

With critical compliance deadlines approaching in 2025, Broadridge’s infrastructure is fully equipped to help financial institutions comply with these standards.

While the service currently focuses on the Eurozone, encompassing 20 countries, Broadridge is focused on global expansion.

The service’s adaptability to changing regulatory landscapes and customer demands positions it for worldwide growth, according to the company.

Broadridge Swift Product Management director Kai Marzenell said: “We’re committed to helping financial institutions stay ahead in an evolving regulatory landscape while delivering seamless, real-time payment experiences for their customers.

“Our Instant Payments service not only enables compliance with new EU regulations but also positions banks and payment service providers to capitalise on future innovations in the global payments ecosystem.”

In September last year, Broadridge announced the availability of its connectivity to Swift’s API for Transaction Screening Service, and for Swift’s newly launched Securities View service.
