UK payments provider FXellence has introduced its new cross-border payment platform for businesses, powered by Currencycloud, a Visa Direct offering.
Initially launching in the UK, the new platform, FXellence International Payments, aims to tackle the common hurdles businesses face when making international payments.
The platform is said to offer “competitive exchange rates”, with fees beginning from £1.
FXellence customers can manage over 30 currencies in a single digital wallet, facilitating payments to more than 100 countries.
Each customer will be assigned a dedicated account manager.
The company supports 33 different currencies, including USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, and more.

By GlobalDataFXellence chief operating officer Simon Da Silva said: “We’ve worked for decades in large corporates and have significant first-hand experience of the frustrations and challenges faced by businesses when sending money abroad. We also know the difficulty large organisations have in developing agile solutions that meet customer needs.
“Recognising an opportunity to address these pain points, we developed a customer-centric payment platform with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface and a seamless onboarding experience. Currencycloud’s state-of-the-art technology and robust security credentials mean our customers can be confident sending money globally.”
The company offers two methods to sending funds.
Standard payments, starting from £1, utilise a local bank network and feature lower payment limits without transaction tracking.
Priority payments, starting from £11, use the SWIFT network and include transaction tracking, tracing, and recall options, with higher payment limits and availability in a broader range of currencies.
