The UK population braved the cold and wet May Day weekend to smash ATM withdrawal records by £25 million. Friday 30th April saw the busiest day ever for LINK cash withdrawals totalling £590 million, beating the previous record of £565 million set on Christmas Eve last year. LINK processed a record total of 13,434,665 transactions on 30th April, with 1,101,102 taking place between the lunch hours of 12pm and 1pm.
