Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Citigroup

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 50.21% share, which marked a 49.32% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 29.36%, registering a 47.7% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 16.81% share and a 146.31% rise over July 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.93% and a month-on-month increase of 12.28%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.69%, registering a 25% rise over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 33.81% share in August 2021, a 40.57% growth over July 2021. US featured next with a 17.13% share, up 25.93% over the previous month. China recorded a 9.57% share, an increase of 32.28% compared with July 2021.

Mid Level jobs lead Citigroup IT hiring activity in August 2021

Mid Level jobs held a share of 53.6%, up by 63.41% from July 2021. Junior Level positions with a 28.91% share, a growth of 68.27% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 10.72% share, up 47.17% over July 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 6.78%, recording a month-on-month increase of 8.82%.
