Danish mobile communications company Vopium has teamed up with online cash payments company Ukash to increase its range of payment solutions.

The partnership enables Vopium customers to use Ukash’s prepaid online payment method to transact in cash to make international calls. Vopium specialises in offering Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and messaging solutions, and has partnered with Ukash as part of plans to expand its international business.

Mark Chirnside, CEO of Ukash said: “Ukash operates across a number of sectors and VoIP is a fast-growing market for us. We are pleased to be partnering with Vopium as its business grows internationally and I am sure that our global distribution network and our customer base will be of significant benefit to Vopium.”

Tanveer Sahrif, Vopium CEO, added: “As Vopium is already available in 49 countries and continuously expands its service to new countries, we needed to find a partner with a truly global reach.”

“We are therefore pleased to be partnering with Ukash, allowing us to bring our advanced mobile communication services to users who prefer to pay by cash globally.”

Vopium customers will now be able to access all 420,000 of Ukash’s physical issuing points, spanning 30 countries and six continents.
