Almost three quarters of American employees
are happy to view their pay check electronically, according to the
American Payroll Association (APA).
APA’s annual Getting paid in America
survey revealed that 73% of Americans would prefer to view their
pay check through a secure online portal instead of a traditional
paper statement.
Nine percent of participants would not like to
use this method and 18% stated that it doesn’t matter how they view
their pay check.
The survey also revealed that 96% of
participants are paid by electronic methods such as direct debit
and prepaid reloadable cards.
Dan Maddux, executive director of the American
Payroll Association said:
“Our survey shows that employees
overwhelmingly prefer the convenience and safety of electronic
payment methods.”
He added:
“Electronic pay is simply safer and more
convenient.”
