ACI Worldwide has reached an agreement with Japan Card Network, CARDNET to streamline its digital payments system across Japan.
CARDNET, the central domestic payment chain in Japan, currently handles over 30 billion of transactions locally per year.
It also offers card payment switching solutions to 106 businesses in Japan as well as more than 889,000 point of sale gateways to Japanese traders.
As part of the new agreement, ACI Worldwide is set to work together with CARDNET to offer modern digital payments technology and tools to the latter’s clients.
The modernised system is expected to allow CARDNET to meet the increasing customer demands.
CARDNET customers will also have access to improved digital payment offerings for use in both local and cross-border markets.
