Amazon Canada, TD and Mastercard are releasing the Amazon Rewards Mastercard with generous cashback offers.
Amazon Prime members will get 2.5% cashback at Amazon.ca and at Whole Foods Market stores in Canada.
In addition, Prime members will also get 2.5% cashback on foreign currency purchases using the Amazon Rewards Mastercard.
Furthermore, cardholders will receive 1% cashback on all other eligible purchases.
Moreover, as an introductory offer Amazon Rewards Mastercard holders will get 5% back at Amazon.ca grocery stores and restaurants. The introductory offer runs for six months after account is opened, on the first $3,000 in eligible purchases.
The Amazon Rewards Mastercard is contactless-enabled and issued in Canada by MBNA, a division of Toronto-Dominion Bank.

Amazon Rewards Mastercard: summary of benefits
- Prime members receive 2.5% back on eligible purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market and on foreign currency purchases;
- Otherwise 1.5% back at Amazon.ca and Whole Foods Market in Canada;
- 1% back on all other purchases;
- Protection benefits include 90-day purchase assurance coverage, extended warranty and trip interruption coverage, and
- Amazon will give cardholders a $20 Amazon gift card for every 2,000 loyalty points.
Further, there is no annual credit card fee. Finally, there is no annual points cap and no expiration date for points.

As a result, approved customers can make immediate purchases on Amazon.ca without waiting for their card to arrive.
