American Express (AmEx) has formed an alliance with Cvent to bring virtual payment capabilities to their joint Corporate Meeting Card customers.
The automated solution is integrated with Cvent’s hospitality and event platforms, and enables payment to suppliers.
Cardholders can use the solution to generate and pay with single- or multi-use American Express virtual account numbers. These numbers come with fixed authorisation amount and expiration date for each payment.
The solution aims to improve security, visibility and control over payments and the associated process. It also automates budget management for meetings and events payments.
Cvent chief marketing officer Patrick Smith said: “This integration is an exciting, new opportunity for clients that want an end-to-end solution to better manage their meetings and events programmes.
“Together with American Express, we’re introducing an innovative, automated solution that provides our customers peace of mind when planning and executing successful meetings.”
