American Express (AmEx) has partnered with home sharing service Airbnb to make booking Airbnb stays with AmEx loyalty points easy for its US card members.

The collaboration allows the credit card company’s cardholders to create an Airbnb account with their existing americanexpress.com user ID and password, as well as use their AmEx login to identify themselves as an AmEx card member on their Airbnb profile.

Card members can use membership rewards points to make bookings directly on the Airbnb site or check out with Amex Express Checkout.

Card members who set up an Airbnb account with their AmEx login will have a badge on their Airbnb profile, verifying to guests and hosts that they are an AmEx card member.

AmEx marketing and digital partnerships executive vice president, global advertising, Leslie Berland said: "Our Card Members love one-of-a-kind and memorable travel experiences, and with this partnership, we’re creating a frictionless and valuable way for them to take advantage of everything Airbnb has to offer.
