Bank of Azerbaijan to operate transport e-payments

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is working on creation of a special processing center for creation of e-system for transport payments.

Azerbaijan Business Center quoted CBA general director, Rashad Orujev, saying: "They will support e-payments of transport system. The Bank of Azerbaijan OJSC has practically completed creation of processing center and will soon starts to apply it.

"The system will be opened for all cards of all banks but the processing center will be possessed by the Bank of Azerbaijan which will become the operator of the system," Orujev added.

As per the plan, the new center will also establish an interface with the other processing centers in the country.
