India-based public sector lender Bank of Baroda has rolled out its new Visa branded debit card in Oman.
The new chip and pin debit card will facilitate easy payment and money withdrawals for its 21,000 customers in the country.
The card, equipped with latest securities features, can also be used for shopping at merchant outlets, account-to-account fund transfer.
The bank’s customers can change their current ATM card with the new Visa debit card.
The card offers a maximum day withdrawal limit of OMR600 ($1,559.53) instead of the previous OMR300 ($779.76).
Bank of Baroda country head of Oman Operations A K Singh said that the bank is looking to upgrade its automated teller machines (ATMs) with cash deposit facilities. The bank is also planning to introduce e-banking services.
