Barclaycard Commercial Payments in collaboration with TMC has secured a contract from Centrica, the parent company of British Gas, to offer a single fuel card programme for its van and car fleets.
The contract, which was awarded after a competitive tender process, runs for a period of three years, providing Centrica with a single fuel programme for both its commercial and company car fleets.
The new programme integrates a fuel expenses Barclaycard with accurate, audited mileage and comprehensive management information.
In association with TMC, the Barclaycard Fuel+ features chip & PIN security and global Visa acceptance, which will allow Centrica drivers to refuel at virtually all petrol forecourts across the UK.
Additionally, the TMC mileage system will offer the company’s fleet managers complete visibility of their staff’s fuel spend and reduce costs by streamlining and automating processes.
Barclaycard head of multinational corporate business Michael Pechner said: “We are delighted to be working with Centrica, providing a fuel programme that will not only be simpler for their drivers and fleet managers but will also help the business reduce its fuel costs.
