US payment processor BillingTree has partnered with mobile payment platform Znap to launch mobile payment products for the auto industry.

Znap, developed by Hong Kong-based mPayMe has been chosen by BillingTree for its mobile payment capabilities, which allow customers to view and pay their bills by scanning QR codes with their smartphones.

Marya Ulis, BillingTree’s auto finance market general manager, said: "To grow revenues and remain competitive, auto lenders need to keep pace with consumer habits and extend their relationship beyond the point of sale.
