US-based warehouse chain BJ’s Wholesale Club has added Masterpass, a digital contactless payment service of Mastercard, as a payment option to enhance checkout experience of its customers.
The integration will enable BJ’s customers to pay for purchases without taking out their card or sharing their credentials.
Masterpass securely stores the sensitive payment information such as card and shipping details, payment preference and does not require all of the customer’s credentials. It can be used across various devices and channels.
Mastercard executive vice-president for US merchants and acceptance Linda Kirkpatrick said: “We are thrilled to partner with BJ’s Wholesale Club to enhance their one-stop shopping experience with our latest and safest digital technology.
“With Masterpass as a payment option, BJ’s members are just a click away from a seamless and secure checkout.”
BJ’s Wholesale Club CFO Bob Eddy said: “As we continue to grow our Omnichannel capabilities, we’re focused on delivering a seamless experience for our members. Adding Masterpass as a payment option on BJs.com offers our members another convenient way to shop with us.”
