Borica, a payment processor based in Bulgaria, has chosen OpenWay’s Way4 digital payment software platform to enhance its core operations.
Under the agreement, OpenWay will provide a card processing solution for real-time fraud detection, e-commerce, mobile wallet and tokenisation.
The payment processor aims to use the new platform to drive growth of the business such as expansion in cross-border services.
The move is part of Borica’s digital transformation project that aims to develop new value-added services and upgrade existing ones.
The selection of the platform was based on its flexibility, as well as its ability to deliver on time and support the payment processor’s expansion of services, OpenWay said.
Borica cards and terminals division head Radoslav Dimitrov said: “The project known as “BORICA New Generation” will impact significantly the whole card payment environment in the country.
“The tender procedure has been held among more than 10 leading international card system vendors and completing all its stages took us nearly two years. OpenWay managed to cover all our requirements for flexibility, security and business expectations. Today we are confident that this partnership will change the future of card business in Bulgaria.”
