Carrefour supermarkets in Istanbul, Turkey, deployed fingerprint recognition terminal, BioEntry Plus, from Suprema, a global provider of technology in biometrics and security, for a new system of access control and time & attendance.
Around 500 units were provided by Meyer, a local partner of Suprema in Turkey.

BioEntry Plus is a distributed IP system terminal which provides higher flexibility and multiple installation options for different environments.
Earlier, Carrefour Supermarkets in Istanbul used RF (MIFARE) card based terminal and system for access control and time & attendance management. However, the system was not fully supportive of efficient management for more than 5,000 employees working at stalls located across the country.
"We concluded that Suprema products guarantee the most powerful performance with matching algorithms featuring high verification rates and verification speeds," explained Carrefour.
