Transaction processor Global Payments and electronics company Casio have partnered to offer an Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) package for high-street retailers. The product condenses the variety of different hardware and software that surrounds an EPoS into one source.
The companies claim that the Casio Android platform VX-100 EPoS terminal makes installation and training much easier to deliver and monitor. The terminal contains stock control, appointment booking and business management tools and a Global Payments Global POS Link connects terminal to till facilitating payments at a fixed location, allowing mobile transactions on a shop floor or in a hospitality setting.
Chris Davies, managing director of Global Payments, said: "The high street is a challenging place for small independent retailers today, with the internet and larger stores attracting an increasing share of their traditional business. Global Payments and Casio will help make customer acquisition and the payment process much more straightforward, which will help the retailer to provide a better customer experience and increase loyalty".
With a 20% UK market share through its subsidiary HSBC Merchant Services, Global Payments has the 3rd largest value transactions in Britain.
