Retail technology provider Cegid has unveiled its new in-store omnichannel point-of-sale (POS) solution, dubbed Shopping, to provide better experience to digitally-driven shoppers.
Available to retailers on fixed and mobile POS devices, Shopping is designed to facilitate store associates to respond to online, mobile and omnichannel journey of customers.
The software solution is intended to bridge the online and offline shopping experience for sales associates, enabling them to offer various omnichannel services.
The Clienteling capability of the solution delivers insights into the online journey of a customer before their visit, while its Cataloging feature provides digital catalogue of all products and their data, customer feedback, images and on-hand inventory for associates.
These capabilities are expected to allow personalised customer service in stores, resulting in customer engagement initiatives and maximum sales.
As the solution is powered by cloud, it can be accessed on-premise or through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription model that enables quick rollout at global stores or addition of an extra POS during busy periods.
