UK consumer group Which? has listed three kinds of card product in its top 10 financial products to avoid in 2014.
Which? included charity credit cards, gift cards and card protection in the list of "money-wasting financial products."

The group said that charity credit cards were an inefficient way of donating money and that gift cards were too risky as they leave consumers with few rights if a company goes bust.
Which? also said that card protection was a waste of money as most cards have some degree of fraud protection anyway and the extra benefits afforded by card protection can usually be found cheaper elsewhere.
Which? executive director, Richard Lloyd said: "There are still far too many financial products on the market that are risky or offer poor value for money and some that are being mis-sold to consumers.
"We want the financial regulator to take tough action and crackdown where it finds evidence of poor practice."
