Citibank debit card customers can now use Quick Lock feature to temporarily lock and unlock their debit cards through online or mobile app to prevent unauthorised transactions.
The functionality was first made available to credit card members last year and it has been extended to debit card customers.

Since the extension of lock/unlock feature to debit cards last month, debit card customers have used it at an average rate of 900 requests per day.
Citi Quick Lock to debit cards complements a suite of new mobile app features such as ATM/debit card PIN reset and activation of new or replacement cards, Mobile Check Deposit with increased limits and user experience enhancements.
Other features include personalised contact information for Citigold Relationship Managers and Citi Personal Wealth Management Advisors to request an appointment from the mobile app.
