Coinbase has introduced its cryptocurrency Visa debit card in ten new European countries, making the card available in a total of 29 markets.

Customers in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Liechtenstein and Romania can now use the contactless card.

The company also added support for five more cryptocurrencies – XRP, BAT, REP, ZRX and XLM. Previously, the card supported BTC, ETH, BCH and LTC.

In a statement, Coinbase UK head of growth marketing JD Millwood said: “Spending crypto as easily as money in your bank account is exactly what Coinbase Card lets you do. But for us, it doesn’t stop there. Spending summaries, combined with our brand new monthly statements feature, make tracking your crypto spend easy.”

Launched in April this year, the debit card can be used to spend crypto balance on Coinbase. It can be availed at all locations accepting Visa globally, as well as for online transactions.

The card was initially launched in the UK and steadily expanded to other European markets.
