PayPal has entered into a partnership with Facebook to allow its US customers to send money through Facebook Messenger.
The partnership allows users to send and request money through PayPal’s peer-to-peer payment system in Messenger.

The payments giant currently has over 2.5 million accounts, which are linked to Facebook. Money transfers can easily be initiated when users compose a message in Messenger with one person, or even a group.
“Whether it’s splitting a bill for a cab ride or a night out, paying for your share of the rent, or making sure you get paid back for mom’s birthday present, PayPal makes exchanging money between friends and family simple,” the company wrote in its blog post.
PayPal has also introduced PayPal customer service bot for Messenger which allows its customers to receive payment and account support directly in the app.
It enables users to have customer service interactions, such as resetting passwords, handling account inquiries, and helping with refunds or payment issues.
